Dr Himam Hamza is a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and has worked across multiple hospitals in Melbourne and Regional Victoria. He has extensive experience in the fields of General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Emergency Medicine. He enjoys all aspects of general practice and has special interests in Skin cancer, Men’s health, LGBTQI health, Mental health and Chronic disease management. Himam performs regular skin checks, skin cancer diagnosis and skin cancer excisions. He does STI screening, PrEP/ HIV medication prescription. He specialises in prescribing Gender-affirming hormones for Trans, Gender Diverse and Non-binary (TGDNB) people. Himam Also performs Implanon insertion and removal, and other minor procedures like surgical treatment for ingrown toe nails, excision of minor lipomas/ cysts. He is fluent in Sinhalese and Tamil as well. Out side work he likes camping, going to the gym daily and walking his little toy poodle ‘chico’!

Dr Jonathan (Hoe Keat) Tan graduated from Auckland University, New Zealand in 2010 before moving to Adelaide, South Australia for his internship at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He did his resident years at Queen Elizabeth Hospital for 2 years before embarking into General Practice Training. He has worked in regional areas such as Millicent and Murray Bridge as part of his training in South Australia. He became a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioner in 2016 and has worked as a GP in Adelaide Hills for the past 6 years. Jonathan enjoys all aspects of general practice especially men’s health, chronic diseases and minor skin procedures. He is excited to join the team at Carlton Family Medical Centre and also explore the beautiful city of Melbourne and Victoria. In his free time, he loves to take his dog for walks, going for musicals and planning his next travel destination. He would appreciate any food or cafe recommendations to try.

Dr Kate Douglas became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018, having completed her medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 2004. She then worked as a doctor in an Emergency Department in Dublin before returning home to many years of work and study in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care before commencing training in General Practice in 2016. She has also completed the Diploma of Child Health from Westmead Hospital in NSW. Kate enjoys many aspects of General Practice particularly Preventive Care and Paediatrics, and is able to insert and remove Implanon contraceptives and perform minor skin procedures. She has a special interest in Sexual Health and LGBQTI health and is able to provide screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections and prescribe PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV). Outside of work she is a keen traveller and lover of food, wine and live music.

Dr David Ling graduated with an MBBS from the University of Melbourne and has received his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. David trained at multiple tertiary centres within Melbourne. He even spent 3.5 years in Darwin to gain some Aboriginal and tropical medicine experience. As a Specialist General Practitioner, David’s special interests include: Men’s health, Sexual/reproductive health, LGBTQI medicine including PrEP counselling and prescription. He is an accredited S100 HIV prescriber. David is also interested in Mental health and can performs skin checks as well as minor surgery. David is passionate about travelling and had taken a year out of work to travel around the world in 2014. He is also a keen reader and enjoys food & wine. David can also converse in Mandarin.

Dr Monica Bhatia

Dr Monica Bhatia is a fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has worked for over 25 years in general medicine. Monica enjoys all aspects of general practice including chronic conditions, like diabetes, COPD/Asthma and heart disease. Monica has special interests in paediatrics, women’s health and mental health. She performs the following procedural work: Insertion and removal of Implanon, Insertion and Removal of Mirena/IUD, Skin excisions and Iron infusions. She has a special interest in Medical Education. As an accredited supervisor and medical educator, she contributes to teaching medical students and GP registrars. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi. Outside of work, Monica enjoys spending time with her family, loves cooking different cuisines. She enjoys gardening, keeping fit and active through tennis and walking her labradoodle.

Dr Brooke Anderson graduated from University of Melbourne and has been a GP for almost 20 years. She is a GP with specialist interest in Mental Health including ADHD, women’s health, pregnancy planning, pregnancy care, fertility planning, sexual health and student well-being. Dr Anderson is dedicated to her patients and providing them with outstanding medical care in a welcoming, safe, inclusive and respectful manner. Dr Anderson does not perform procedures eg skin excision, iron infusions, implanon insertions/removals and ear syringing. Please book with one of her trusted colleagues at Carlton Family Medical if this is required. In her spare time she enjoys ballroom dancing, rock and roll dancing, yoga, lots and lots of walking with her dogs, and lovingly restoring and driving her classic cars!

Dr Mark Seychell graduated in 1986 from Monash University. He obtained his Fellowship in General Practice in 1993 and a Certificate in Civil Aviation Medicine from Monash University in 2000. He has worked in a variety of General Practices. He is particularly interested in the care of healthcare professionals, having spent 13 years at St Vincent’s Staff Clinic, and 7 years at The Austin Staff Clinic. He also has worked in preventative medicine at the Epworth Healthcheck unit for 10 years. He enjoys general practice in its broadest sense. Mark is married with young adult twins. He has lived in the local neighbourhood for 40 years, and enjoys being part of the inner city community. He enjoys eating out and exploring the inner city cafes. Mark is a keen runner having completed 10 marathons and 4 ultramarathons. Currently Mark is not available as he is taking a break from practice to spend time on personal interests including home projects, travelling and longer ultramarathons.
